Gary S. Berger, MD
Dr. Gary Berger‘s mission is to ensure the effectiveness and safety of all treatment procedures. He has extensive experience using lasers for medical and cosmetic treatments and advanced training in cosmetic injection procedures including dermal fillers (Juvederm, Belotero, Perlane, Restylane, Radiesse) and neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport). Dr. Berger is board certified in Preventive Medicine.
Julia Kemp Smith, RN, CASC
Julia Kemp Smith, R.N.’s mission is to ensure the highest quality experience for each person. With training and certification from Aesthetic Advancements, Rocky Mountain Laser College, and Candela Laser, Julia performs laser hair removal, laser skin tightening, CO2 Fractional Laser treatments, medical chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. She is a certified Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator and having served as Administrator of Chapel Hill Surgical Center for 18 years before co-founding Medical Day Spa, Julia is an expert in surgical practice management and meeting JCAHO standards.
Stephanie Duncan, RN, MSN
Stephanie Duncan received laser training and certification at the National Laser Institute. She is a Certified Laser Specialist with the CO2 laser, Nd:Yag laser, and IPL. These are used for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation as well as to treat scarring, hyperpigmentation, superficial veins, and other skin problems. Stephanie has worked at UNC Hospital, Duke University Medical Center, and was Co-Administrator of Chapel Hill Surgical Center.
Jennifer Okun Ballentine, RN, BSN
Jennifer Ballentine began formal training in skin care therapies in 2011 due to her interest in skin care and holistic health. She has completed cosmetic injection training with Advanced Aesthetics. In addition to cosmetic injections, she also performs microdermabrasion and therapeutic facials. Jennifer has worked at UNC Hospitals and was Patient Care Coordinator at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.
Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (NC # 6178)
Irina Tsvetkova specializes in deep tissue, Russian sport, Swedish, and therapeutic massage. She provides massage for relaxation, recovery from injury, and for maintaining optimal health and well being. Irina is a graduate of the Massage College in St. Petersburg, the Potomac Massage Training Institute, and the American-European Massage School and previously practiced as a registered nurse in Russia.
Assistant Spa Coordinator
Ericka Pamplin has worked in healthcare management for 20 years and helps maintain an environment with the highest standards and patient service. Her strong work ethic and thirst for learning have made her a successful leader. Ericka enjoys meeting the needs of spa patients, clients, and staff.
