Dr. Gary Berger’s mission is to ensure the effectiveness and safety of all treatment procedures. He has extensive experience using lasers for medical and cosmetic treatments and advanced training in cosmetic injection procedures including dermal fillers (Juvederm, Belotero, Perlane, Restylane, Radiesse) and neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport). Dr. Berger is board certified in Preventive Medicine.
Julia Kemp Smith, R.N. is a founder and Managing Partner of Medical Day Spa of Chapel Hill. Her mission is to ensure a quality experience for each patient and client in the spa, maintain the highest standard of care possible, and to stay on top of the latest treatments and trends within the industry. Julia is certified as an Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator and an Advanced Legal Nurse Consultant. As Administrator of Chapel Hill Surgical Center, she developed expertise in surgical practice management and meeting JCAHO standards.
Stephanie Duncan received laser training and certification at the National Laser Institute. She is a Certified Laser Specialist with the CO2 laser, Nd:Yag laser, and IPL. These are used for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation as well as to treat scarring, hyperpigmentation, superficial veins, and other skin problems. Stephanie has worked at UNC Hospital, Duke University Medical Center, and was Co-Administrator of Chapel Hill Surgical Center.
Jennifer Ballentine began formal training in skin care therapies in 2011 due to her interest in skin care and holistic health. She has completed cosmetic injection training with Advanced Aesthetics. In addition to cosmetic injections, she also performs microdermabrasion and therapeutic facials. Jennifer has worked at UNC Hospitals and was Patient Care Coordinator at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.
Jessica Ledford is a graduate of the Body Therapy Institute and is a Certified Medical Massage Therapist with additional training in aromatherapy, trigger point, sports massage for runners and active isolated stretching. Her interests include holistic care, physical fitness and total wellness and in helping migraine sufferers, athletes, and individuals with orthopedic conditions. She is also a nursing student at UNC.
Irina Tsvetkova specializes in deep tissue, Russian sport, Swedish, and therapeutic massage. She provides massage for relaxation, recovery from injury, and for maintaining optimal health and well being. Irina is a graduate of the Massage College in St. Petersburg, the Potomac Massage Training Institute, and the American-European Massage School and previously practiced as a registered nurse in Russia.
Chelsea Weir’s mission as Administrative Assistant is to ensure that each visit is smooth and effortless for every visitor at Medical Day Spa of Chapel Hill. She will anticipate everything you need to relax and truly enjoy your spa experience, so please let Chelsea know if there is anything that you need. Chelsea is also pursuing a graduate degree at UNC.
Ericka Pamplin has worked in healthcare management for 20 years and helps maintain an environment with the highest standards and patient service. Her strong work ethic and thirst for learning have made her a successful leader. Ericka enjoys meeting the needs of spa patients, clients, and staff.
